FF1995: Prick Comix

Prick Comix by Sean Brennan and Tom Giansante.

This comic reminds me a bit of those random underground comix that were published in the early 70s. Just goofing around (while high, most likely) without much ambition to do much beyond that.

That’s the Dalai Lama fighting against some kidnappers by playing a Kenny G tune.

See what I mean?

Or perhaps it’s more like a couple of teenagers.

Inventive but confusing layouts, too.

Apparently neither creator published anything before or after this. On the other hand, the 90s are lost to the mists of Google, so who can tell…

This post is part of the Fantagraphics Floppies series.

  1. Hello publisher, I’m not sure if you still are active enough to see this but 9 years later I thought I would explain the origin of “pricks comics”
The main character in the comic(the one on the front cover page) is actually supposed to my father Erik Pedersen. At the time he had left to go serve in the peace core all the way in Czechoslovakia when it was still one country. The authors Tom giansante and Sean Brennan were my dad’s best friends and made the comic as a gift to him so that he wouldn’t feel lonely in the cold isolated world he found himself in and could still share a laugh with his best friends over 1000 miles away.
