This film is surprisingly engaging, despite being saddled with a plot (FSVO plot) that goes through some pretty groan-inducing moves. (A ten minute third act opener that does the birth/sex/death thing? The pregnant mother falling while running through the woods during a rain storm? C’mon. Just. C’mon.)
But it’s not bad.
