Music I’ve bought in October.
Huh, I bought more stuff this month than I thought…
The Vanishing Twin album is nice, I think, but I’ve only listened to it a couple times yet. Perhaps not as immediate as previous albums?
The album from Total Wife is so much fun — I’ve been listening almost exclusively to music from the 90s over the past few weeks, so when I started playing this, my brain totally went “So what My Bloody Valentine album is this?”
The 90s are really back — half the new bands are shoegaze bands, and the other half are drum’n’bass.
Speaking of… Nia Archives is probably the one who made the drum’n’bass revival happen. But I have to say that her second album is a bit of a disappointment — it’s not as exuberant as her previous stuff.
But in a way, that’s very on brand — in the 90s all the original drum’n’bass acts had very brief careers…
I mean — I like the album, but…
Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith’s new album, though — so good.
The new Ministry album… sounds like a Ministry album. I’m kinda disappointed, because the previous album was better than this.
You know, I do like Madonna… but seldom enough to actually buy her albums. I did this time around, and… it’s OK? But as usual, I think it’s not as good as it should be.
And I bought the Thank God It’s Friday soundtrack album because I watched the movie some weeks ago.
It’s not very good.
And… I guess that’s all I have to say.
