Oscarson is a small but intriguing record label. In addition to being on Bandcamp and stuff, they release most (all?) of their things in physical format with sometimes elaborate packaging — odd shapes, die cuts, etc etc.
So I was vaguely aware of them, and had bought a couple of things, and then they released this label sampler — and I bought everything they’d released at that point.
That’s a record label sampler working as intended, eh?
It’s also just a really good album in an of itself — the flow is nice, and it’s varied without being incoherent. Class.
I see that it’s still available from here.
