I was perusing the Number One Site For Finding Cool Stuff, but the manufacturer’s site didn’t explain how they work. It only says something about magnets…
So I bought one, and I’m now going to reveal all!
It has these notches on the back of the belt, and then that metal thingie that fastens into them.
Mystery! Revealed!

And it works, and as the name on the tin says, it’s indeed a boring belt. But it’s so boring that it’s almost avant garde, hein?
(The magnets come into play on the flappy bit where it overshoots where it’s fastened…)
I think I should have gotten them in one size down — it works fine the way it is, but the overlap is a bit on the large side. If I ever decide to get these in brown, too, I’ll get them an inch shorter.
