https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdRxUvrWUPQDerek Bailey used to improvise while listening to pirate radio drum’n’bass back in the 90s, and somebody sensibly finally released that.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiLk6G5N-3YOh yeah, I was at the big music festival here, and we were moaning to each other “here’s yet another one of those boring indie bands”, but then we stood there listening and it turned out that they were really good! Fontaines D.C., so I got the album, and it’s indeed very good: It wasn’t just the festival beer talking.
